Khalto’s Café / Privacy policy
Khalto’s Café privacy policy
On this page
This privacy policy explains what happens to information when you play Khalto’s Café (“the game”) on Android. The game is made by Nobility Games, an independent developer based in Egypt.
In short
- You don’t need an account. The game doesn’t ask for your name, email address or contacts.
- Game progress and settings are stored locally by the game. We don’t run a cloud-save service.
- The game shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. The current version requests non-personalized ads, and Google still processes some device information, such as your IP address and advertising ID, to deliver and measure them.
- We don’t run our own servers, analytics or crash reporting for the game.
- The game is meant for players aged 13 and over.
1Who we are
Nobility Games is an individual game developer based in Egypt. We’re responsible for the game and for this policy. You can reach us at support@nobility-games.com.
2Information stored on your device
The game stores some information locally on your device so it can work. The game doesn’t send any of it to us.
- Game progress and settings, such as how far you’ve got and your in-game preferences.
- Local gameplay logs. The game writes a record of gameplay events to log files on your device, which helps with testing and fixing bugs. The game doesn’t upload these logs to us or to any analytics service.
- Reminder times. If you allow notifications, the times of upcoming reminders are stored on your device.
Backups. We don’t operate a cloud-save service. Depending on your device settings, Android or your device manufacturer may back up app data, including this information, or transfer it when you set up a new device. Google or your device manufacturer handles those backups under their own terms, not us.
Deleting it. Clearing the game’s data (usually Settings › Apps › Khalto’s Café › Storage › Clear data) or uninstalling the game deletes the copy on your device. To manage or delete backups, use your device’s backup settings or your backup service. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t restore lost progress.
3Ads in the game (Google AdMob)
The game uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) to show rewarded ads. Watching an ad is always your choice. In return, you get an in-game reward.
Non-personalized ads. The current version of the game requests non-personalized ads from Google AdMob. These ads are chosen from context, such as the game itself and your general location, not from a profile of your interests. Google can still use identifiers and device information with non-personalized ads to measure them, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud and abuse. That’s why the game asks for consent where the law requires it (see section 4).
When the game loads or shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects this information and sends it to Google:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device.
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID.
- Ad interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views.
- Diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy use.
Google uses this information to deliver and measure ads, for analytics, and to prevent fraud and abuse. It’s encrypted in transit.
We don’t receive this information in a form that identifies you. AdMob gives us only aggregated reports, such as how many ads were shown.
Google handles this information under its own policies:
4Your ad privacy choices
- Consent message. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows a consent message from Google’s User Messaging Platform before it requests ads. The message asks for your consent to advertising-related data processing, such as storing or reading information on your device. You can accept, decline, or choose specific purposes. Similar messages may appear where other privacy laws require them, such as those of some US states.
- Reviewing your choice. When a consent review is required for your region, you can review or change your choices in the game under Settings › Ad privacy › Privacy choices.
- Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (usually Settings › Privacy › Ads or Settings › Google › Ads).
5Notifications
The game can remind you to come back using local notifications (Unity Mobile Notifications). Your device schedules and shows these reminders itself. No push notification service is used, and no information is sent to us or anyone else to deliver them.
On Android 13 and later, the game asks for your permission first. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings › Apps › Khalto’s Café › Notifications.
6Permissions the game uses
- Internet and network access, to load ads and the consent message. The game itself can be played offline.
- Notifications, to show reminders, only if you allow them.
- Advertising ID, used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described in section 3.
The game doesn’t ask for access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
7What the game doesn’t do
- No accounts or sign-in, and no cloud-save service of our own.
- No personalized ads. The current version requests non-personalized ads only.
- No in-app purchases, so we never handle payment information.
- No analytics or crash reporting of our own. Unity Analytics and Unity’s cloud crash and performance reporting are turned off, and we don’t use Firebase, GameAnalytics or Crashlytics.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone except as described in this policy.
If a future version changes any of this, for example by adding personalized ads or in-app purchases, we’ll update this policy before that version is released.
8Children
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over, and it isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
9When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include, such as your device model or a description of a problem. We use it only to reply to you and help with your request. We keep these emails only for as long as we need to handle your request, then delete them.
10Legal bases for players in the EEA and UK
- Consent, for storing or reading information on your device and for advertising-related processing where the law requires consent. This includes non-personalized ads, because they can still use identifiers for measurement, frequency capping and fraud prevention. You can withdraw consent as described in section 4.
- Legitimate interests, for replying to your emails and support requests. Our interest is helping the players who contact us. Where the law requires consent for advertising, we rely on consent, not on legitimate interests.
- Legal obligation, when we respond to a request to exercise your data protection rights.
11Your rights
To request deletion of personal information you have sent to Nobility Games, email support@nobility-games.com with the subject “Khalto’s Café — Data deletion request” and describe what you want deleted. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how it’s used, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Because the game doesn’t send your game data to us, most requests are quickest to handle yourself:
- To delete game data, clear the game’s data or uninstall it. This deletes the copy on your device. Device backups are managed in your device’s backup settings.
- To control ad data, use the options in section 4, or contact Google through its privacy policy.
For anything else, email support@nobility-games.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.
12International transfers
Google may process ad-related information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Google applies its own safeguards to these transfers, as described in its privacy policy.
13Security
Information sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. We don’t keep game data on servers of our own. Support emails are kept in our email account, and we use them only to answer you. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect anything you send us.
14Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, such as collecting a new type of information, we’ll also mention it in the game’s release notes on Google Play.
